Considering making a move soon? Take advantage of listing your home in the spring, and reap the rewards that naturally come with the season.
As the Earth starts to thaw and there are more hours of daylight, it’s no wonder that spring is the most popular time for many buyers to enter the market. That means when you list your home in spring, there will not only be more prospective buyers but there will likely be competition, which can drive up the sale price. And guess what? Buyer activity has most certainly picked back up again. I’m seeing great homes list on Thursday and have an accepted offer by the following Tuesday. Just think, you could be under contract just days after listing your home.
As the weather gets nicer and the grass starts getting greener, your home becomes much easier to stage — especially if you’ve already taken care of decluttering your space!
It’s advantageous if you can sell your house and move out before the school year starts in the fall. If you have school aged children in your home, this can make your moving process far easier. Selling before the fall isn’t only beneficial if you have children; it can also attract the buyers that have school aged children of their own. So often I hear buyers say that one of the biggest factors in their home search is making sure they can be in their new home by the start of the school year in the fall.
Aside from the school calendar, moving in the summer also comes with its own set of benefits such as having nicer weather and more hours of sunlight, which are sure to come in handy on your moving day.
Take advantage of this time, and don’t miss out on getting top dollar for your house. If you have any questions or don’t know where to start, reach out to me and I’d be happy to discuss your goals and how we can meet them.
